Healthy Lettuce Wrap Tacos

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 12 large Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. Cook and stir ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly, about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water; simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Rinse and pat dry the Romaine lettuce leaves.
  4. Spoon seasoned turkey mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf.
  5. Top with shredded Cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, red onion, salsa, and sour cream.
  6. Serve immediately, using the lettuce leaves as taco shells.
